The Immanent Frame – Secularism, religion, and the public sphere

Founded in 2007 by editor-in-chief Jonathan VanAntwerpen as one of several projects of the SSRC’s program on “Religion and the Public Sphere”, the Internet blog “The Immanent Frame” provides “interdisciplinary perspectives on secularism, religion, and the public sphere” in form of “invited contributions and original essays that have not been previously published in print or online”. Seen as “a forum for ongoing exchanges among leading thinkers across the social sciences and humanities” the website is used by authors such as Arjun Appadurai, Talal Asad, Craig Calhoun or Charles Taylor for publishing their thoughts on these important topics…
